However, you have to keep in mind that Rajasthan is the largest state in the country, which means there is lots to see and explore here. This can become overwhelming which is why I am here to help you out with my Rajasthan Itinerary that will allow you to see the best of Rajasthan and make the most of your trip as well. Day 1 to 3: Land in Jaipur
Your Rajasthan Itinerary will start with the capital of the state Jaipur. Commonly known as the Pink City, Jaipur has a lot to offer to its visitors and every corner of the city gives you a glimpse of royalty and rich heritage. There are numerous forts, palaces, haviles, and so much more to explore in Jaipur that you will need more than a couple of days to fully explore it.
Visit Patrika Gate as your first spot and click some Instagram worthy pictures here. Then move to the Masala chowk to get a delicious breakfast. Then you can explore the Albert Hall museum to explore the history of the place. After that you can move to the City Palace that opens at 9.30 AM.
For your next day, I would recommend you to get up early and watch the sunrise at Nahargarh Fort. You can then visit other forts such as Jaigarh Fort and Amer Fort as your day moves forward. You can also visit the Hawa Mahal and Jal Mahal as you conclude your day.
For your 3rd day in Jaipur, explore the Bapu Bazaar to shop for handicrafts, textiles, and much more. Take a food tour in the city to try out the best Rajasthani food. If you have time then do visit Chokhi Dhani to experience the village life of Rajasthan and get a taste of authentic Rajatshani cuisine.
Day 4: Ranthambore
Now it’s time to explore the wilderness of the state with Ranthambore as your next stop. Ranthambore is most popular for its wildlife exploration and you can easily spot a tiger here. Make sure to get a room in the hotels or hostel. You can get a good package with entertainment depending on which hotel you book. The view is great from the lakeside and it’s pretty fun to experience the wild.
Day 5: Pushkar
Pushkar is a holy site of Rajasthan where lots of people come to seek blessings and take a holi bath in the ghats.
You can have a great time here with popular sites of temples, beautiful ghats, hiking trails to temples that are located on hills, and trying the delicious food. There are so many delicious foods to try here too along with picture perfect locations to explore. You can also book a resort and relax for a day before you move to the next stop.
Day 6 to 7: Udaipur
Udaipur is known as the lake city of India and the name is justified with numerous lakes in the city that enhances its beauty.
Udaipur too is a popular destination for people to explore its beauty and heritage. Here too you will have plenty of beautiful palaces, havelis, forts, and temples. Since there are so many lakes, Udaipur is known to be a very picturesque location as well.
You will also see many art performances and shows in Udaipur such as the Dharohar Cultural Show. Stay here for a couple of days to explore the whole city before you move to the next stop.
Day 8 to 9: Jodhpur
Jodhpur has been crowned with the title of Blue City given its blue houses that gives it a distinct identity. Jodhpur also has many amazing places to explore and visit so you are going to need two or three days to fully explore the place.
Visit the Mehrangarh Fort which is just magnificent and grandeur. You should also visit the Palaces in the city that sparks royalty and features a stunning architecture. Later on in the day, do explore the Clock Tower in the old town and explore the market that features the local handicrafts, art, textiles, and much more.
Day 10: Jaisalmer
Jaisalmer is the golden city of Rajasthan, boasting a vast area covered with desert and as soon as the sun comes up, the city turns golden. Here, you will see the popular Jaisalmer Fort and you will find yourself awestruck with its beautiful architecture and beautiful art.
Jaisalmer also allows you to live in a tent where many cultural programs take place. You can also take part in some adventure activities like taking a safari, and camel rides, and more.
Day 11: Return Home
Depending on your home destination, you can either take a train from Jaisalmer itself or reach Jaipur and fly for home.
